Si
Cranstoun
Si Cranstoun is set to be the voice of 2015 having achieved so much with
his initial step up from King of the Vintage scene to success at radio and
a jam packed festival season in 2014 since signing to Warner Music UK’s
East West, and the release of his debut album ‘Modern Life’ and his new
single ‘Never Gonna Let You Go’. Having honed his musical style busking,
‘The Voice of the Streets’ is now set to take the charts by storm.
'Never Gonna Let You Go’ follows up the
success of both , ‘Caught in the Moonlight’
and ‘Dance For Evermore’ which both gained
extensive national airplay and huge TV
coverage including, BBC Breakfast TV,
Lorraine, Alan Titchmarsh and Good Morning
Britain.
Cranstoun’s vocal style has been compared
to the likes of Jackie Wilson and Sam Cooke,
while his music is a pure blend of northern
soul, Motown and vintage pop. With hugely
catchy hooks and a contemporary pop sound
that also captures the look and feel of a
golden era in soul and r&b, Cranstoun’s sound
is full of the classic energy and verve a by
gone era but brought up to the present day,
with the likes of Chris Evans describing him
as “A squeeze of The Bee Gees, a bit of Billy
Joel, a dash of Dean Freidman, and a ripple
of Rodriguez.”
The media have embraced Si’s style featuring
him in a range of media including, The Sun’s
Fabulous Magazine, Music Week, Very
Magazine, Hot Press and has recently been
featured on the front cover of ECHOES
Magazine and UK Rock & Roll. He has also
made appearances at BluesFest, Carfest,
Proms in the Park, Secret Garden, Lounge on
the Farm, Twinwood and many more.
His sound and vocal style is classy throwback
to the classic sound of the early sixties the
success of , ‘Caught in the Moonlight’ and
‘Dance For Evermore’ at Radio 2 , Magic etc.
was an astonishing achievement from an artist
who had never previously released a song on
a major label. Cranstoun wrote the song with
the legendary Tony Macaulay of The
Foundations ‘Build Me up Buttercup’ fame. So
far, Cranstoun has earned radio support from
Radio 2, Magic and BBC London, and has
been featured in the Daily Mail and the Daily
Star, as well as appearing on BBC London
News TV and ITV Text Santa.
