The music video will stay in my mind forever it
was like the cavalry had arrived to save the day
a musical union that was so right and yet so
unexpected
I remember when I first heard the tune 'You
Know My Name' and finding out that it was
going to be the main song in a James Bond film
My hero had done something so amazing that
it totally blew me away I remember shouting
“He's in Bond Chris Cornell has made it to
Bond!” and some of my band mates at
the time were like “Who's Chris
Cornell?” and I'd give them a death
stare so powerful that it could
melt the sun
There will be a few of you
reading this who will no
doubt have never heard of
Chris Cornell and are
unsure about exactly how
to feel because you didn't
grow up with his music
For me it began with the
Badmotorfinger album;
maybe you'd find that a
good place to start? I've
barely scratched the
surface of all the
wonderful things that
Chris Cornell did during
his music career and if
you are just about to
search for his music for
the first ever time then a
wealth of joy awaits you
His powerful voice will
always be in our heads He
kept us company throughout
difficult times brought much
happiness and made us think
It's going to be hard getting used to
the fact that he's not around anymore
but his music will be with us forever
Thank you Chris for years of passion
Always louder than love
