Verdict:
Five track EP from Staffordshire band NAKED SUNDAY and It's
obviously not difficult for them writing original songs and yet capturing the essence of bands such as
SMASHING PUMPKINS and LA GUNS. "Sunflowers In The Rain" has without a doubt one of the best
rock choruses I've heard. "Rockstar" bedazzles you with an insanely catchy punk vocal stab
R.O.C.K.S.T.A.R in the bridge section (you will repeat this upon hearing), "Miss You" has an appealing late
80's early 90's rock anthem vibe and "A Dozen Red Roses & A Bottle Of Jack" is such a touching warm tune
that you can't really fault it because of it's pure thoughtfulness and sincerity. A strong band with an
individual sound that tip toes through different rock ages and comes out sounding like it created rock n roll.
Dynamite.

Verdict:
IAN PARKER returns with his long awaited next album release "Politik Blues". As well as being
crammed with strong new material such as "Left To Lose" (containing one of my favourite guitar solos by Ian
as it just reeks of feel) the album also pays homage to grand musicians of the past with respectable covers of
RICHIE HAVENS "Freedom" and CREAM's "Politician". There may not be an overall message on this album
as such other than that Ian is totally in tune with his own musical direction and comfortably back in the blues
scene. It's clear that his song writing is as high quality as ever with tunes like the dark southern-sounding epic
"Long Done and Gone" and the lyrically-deep gentle down-and-out softly sung bluesy bombshell of a song
"Truth". Buy this album.

Verdict:
Buzzsaw guitars and a clear no-nonsense metal presence that from opening track
"I Am The Hunter" draws you in. Knowing your own sound and being confident with it is, I think,
what makes a good metal band and 4 piece SID have a dominating and crushing self titled EP.
Tunes like "The Passenger" and "Death To The Dead" have sharp hook chorus's, solid riffs,
eratic and crazy sounding but well crafted short solos, layered gang-like vocal stabs and thrash
metal overtones that make STRANGER IN DEATH appear like a mega-mix of the big 4.
This is a very intelligent release. No waste of space on this EP and they fill it with what
you need from a metal band. Closing track "Insanity Of Mr Zsasz shows them off at their
most melodic without compromising their style. An album from these guys I think would be
very impressive. Good metal
