: How hard is it being King Rich touring and
recording so much?

:
I’ve been working with a vocal
disability - a chronic muscle spasm of the soft
palate - for the last two decades which has been
tough to work with, having to spend lots of time
in my own silence, resting my voice for recording
albums and touring

: What kind stuff has happened to you on
tour?
King Rich
:
I've played some pretty extreme gigs
across the decades as a touring musician, with
a police riot van turning up at one performance,
a bar room fight and ambulance at another;
travelling home from one evening in hurricane
and snow conditions as well as seeing people in
Experienced and hard working Midlands based singer songwriter and multi-
instrumentalist King Rich has spent the past two decades touring the UK as a solo
act and even found time recently to fit in an impressive covers project known as
'Leanne & King Rich'. An accomplished musician who live uses his voice, acoustic
guitar, banjo, piano & harmonica to maximum effect. He's previously supported
the likes of Robert Plant, The Levellers, Roy Harper, Victoria Perks from eighties
super group Fuzzbox. Was also runner up in the Clifford T Ward National
songwriter competition for his tune 'Be Away' and currently he has three online
albums each stacking over twenty tracks doing well on iTunes and
Amazon. King Rich is now targeting his hometown as well as local dates across
the Midlands before next years UK tour and RGG caught up with him for a few
words. This is King Rich.
