RGG: "Can you tell us about yourself and
what your band means to you?"
Neel Parmar:
"I've been in many bands over
the years and achieved a lot of things, from
touring in Istanbul, Budapest and even
New York city, to winning national battle
of the bands, but I have never felt more of
a raw musical connection than I have in
WEAK13! We all have our own personali-
ties and influences and we just seem to
work as a musical unit; the fact we are like
family just makes it even better!! Unlike a
lot of bands around at the moment we're
not trying to be anything we're not, we're
true to ourselves and you can tell how dif-
ferent we all are by any of the tracks on the
forthcoming album as we all individually
add melodies and bits to the songs but at
the same time it all works and fits into an
amazing piece of music!!"
RGG: "What kind of challenge has record-
ing the WEAK13 album been for you?"
Neel Parmar:
"Working on the album was
probably the most unique recording
process I've ever been a part of. I wanted
to keep my drums raw so I didn't learn the
songs up until it came to me recording the
drum beats to the backing tracks that
Nick and Wesley created as I wanted to
feel the music and I wanted it to feel raw
and just feel the music rather than be a
robot. As you can guess it took me a few
takes on each song to get it but each one
of the songs just sounds amazing and I
wouldn't have done it any other way!!
We are a very unique and crazy band and
we do things differently to everyone
else...and thats whats cool...even our per-
sonalities. I'm just a guy who loves to
party (HARD), Nick has the vision and
just is a pioneer in my eyes as he is known
and respected in every part of the under-
ground music industry, he is even leg-
endary! As for Wesley, well......he is just
the most amazing bass player I've ever
worked with!! He is like a stoned dog on
