Verdict: "Was quite surprised by this CD. 6 tracks from TARGET
BY NUMBERS who are the Dudley version of a band that's been soaked in BLUR rinsed
in MADNESS and laid out to dry with a few of THE KINKS still in it. I won't lie, it was
quite a refreshing change to hear a band adopt something with a little more Britishness
and not be a carbon copy of the American imports I'm used to hearing. In fact I could
hear THE ANIMALS and THE BEATLES in songs like 'Sorry 2004' in there and a few
more but nothing really ripped off exactly, just a good band knocking out rock n roll
tunes with some meat. It's Black Country Britpop I guess, but it's a band playing what it
likes. I don't know whether this release will really get the attention of major media
unless the band did something as big as some of the artists it pays homage too. There is
something very likeable about this band and I hope they take themselves seriously and
get to the next level. My advice to them is, if you are going to do this then go all the
way and be yourselves most of all. Good luck lads but your path is difficult as the music
world may choose to cite you as dated but I think if you worked hard you can show
them all who's pop boss"and also this is a fucking brilliant record. Did I mention that?"

Verdict: "Massive sound, very massive, this CD almost blows a kiss
with it's musical bottom. Right here we go, what you have here is an English RED HOT
CHILLI PEPPERS but it's not as straight forward as that, I don'tmean that RONIN just play
funk, what I mean is that the high production and hit singles RHCP are known for belting
out could easily be on the same page here. What RONIN offer is a more rock version with
a little MUSE, FAITHNOMORE and HIM in the mix. It's a very commercial sounding band
and I think it's going to strike a chord with the ladies as the singer I imagine has one of
those voices which will probably make a vagina squirt. 'Always in my heart is very radio
friendly and opener 'Trespasser' is a rock anthem waiting to happen. Top work"
