will be looking to book them again before very
long catch them when you can they are
immense! We were incredibly lucky to get
rising star Rebecca Downes and her band to
headline the gig and she showed why she is in
such demand across the country and indeed
around the world She is a class act
Certain people deserve a special mention; and
it’s fair to say that if you want an event stage
managing you won’t get much better than our
features chief the one and only Nick J
Townsend acts played on the night and
every one hit their respective stages to the
minute of the running order Sound and
lighting on the night was courtesy of the
wonderful Alan Dawkins he of Cannock
Soundhire and hats off to Alan and his team
they provided some serious kit to give us a
fantastic sound in what was a bloody massive
marquee! Behind the main stage we had a
green room for the bands and their guests to
mingle tune up and relax helped in no small
measure by the barrels of Brough’s
Springfield Bitter though I think I may have
had more than my fair share as the latter part
of the night is rather hazy
If you missed the event don’t worry next year
will be even bigger and better as we will be
celebrating years! See you next year?
