ViX or Victoria Perks of the British band ViX &
her MsChiefs’ is perhaps better known up until
now as ‘ViX Fuzzbox’ This is because she was
previously the lead singer/songwriter of the
all girl chart band FUZZBOX; also known as
“We've got a FUZZBOX and we're gonna
use it!!” The quartet of schoolgirls got together
in and after worldwide success with indie
anthem “Rules and Regulations” plus chart hits
such as “Pink Sunshine” and “International
Rescue” they parted company in Their
reunion in was prompted by ViX’s
appearance on the BBC TV show Never Mind
The Buzzcocks They played their own
instruments wrote their own songs were
already mates who chose to form a band; they
were not manufactured by a record company
and they are still to this day the UK's most
successful all female band!
Today the formidably talented songstress ViX
is in her element performing live cover versions
and original songs with the band “ViX & her
MsChiefs” which is her new all female line up
They use a mixture of instruments such as
ukulele violin guitar and cajon and the
‘Americana’ style sound of the band really
showcases ViX’s evocative vocal skills and
classic songwriting ability as she delivers
emotive performances and enjoys humorous
banter with the audience when performing
live
ViX & her MsChiefs’ are now making plans to
record a follow up release to their debut EP
"Live at Magic Garden" which was produced by
the award winning Gavin Monaghan (Robert
Plant Paolo Nutini Scott Matthews etc) and
recorded at Magic Garden Studios RGG
magazine itself previously reviewed their debut
which if you recall stated the “highlight on this
CD is the tune 'All the way from Birmingham'
which if you've seen the movie 'Stir Crazy' is as
deep and heartstring yanking as the
'Birmingham Jail' tune mimed by the character
Grossberger played by actor Erland van Lidth
de Jeude”
