After 2 years of constant creativity Lions of
Dissent are ready to announce themselves as
a live act alongside their first official release.
What would it feel like to be free
will be the
group’s first EP, released on Lion Rebel
Recordings on Friday 3 November 2017, and
will be available on all major digital platforms.
The 5 track EP is a statement of defiance,
drawing on universal themes of darkness, light,
hope and recovery, delivered with an authentic
sentiment by the Wolverhampton group.

The collective are also gearing up for their debut
show, which will take place in their hometown,
organised in conjunction with live music
promoters
Future Perfect
and one of the city’s
leading creative venues
Newhampton Arts
Centre.
In order to celebrate their arrival
on the live music scene, they have planned a
huge, all-inclusive event for the city, and have
decided to make this a free entry show. Over half
of the tickets were claimed in the first week of
being made available and a sell out is expected.
Bassist Darryl Starr said, “
This event will show
good things do happen in Wolverhampton. We
are overwhelmed by the response already, all for
a local group playing their debut show. But Lions
of Dissent are not just another group, and this is
not just another gig.”
Lions of Dissent will play live on Friday 10th
November at
Newhampton Arts Centre
in
Wolverhampton. Doors open 8pm. Supports and
DJs on the night will be announced shortly. This
is a free entry show, but tickets need to be
reserved by visiting:

Physical copies of the release will be exclusively
available at the live show.
