Verdict:
Original Punk N' Roll from
Wolverhampton's The Bitten. This twelve song
album I can only describe as one of the most
interesting punk releases I've heard in quite a
while. From the psychobilly surf punk overtones
of “Drinking To Remember” to the uptempo rock
n' roll horror punk slasher friendly madness of
“Elvis”; this is an energetic and intelligent
collection of 'Oi' fueled anthems – an honest
master piece of punk. The Bitten have a solid
hard edged punk sound but fuse so many styles
of rock n roll that, they as a whole, make the
perfect punk juke box- but one that plays
whatever it wants to and then spits on you
afterwards... in a nice way. They have a music
video for “Elvis” on YouTube and launch this
album at The Giffard Arms on Saturday May 6th.
An incredible bunch of musicians.

Verdict:
Dudley based punk rock band
Buzzard sent in a promo CD for their single
“Kamikaze”. The music video can be seen on
YouTube and the tune will be included on their
highly anticipated second album which is
currently scheduled for release later this year.
“Kamikaze” is a blisteringly fast paced
Motörhead-like brawl and all performed with
impeccable rock star style and accuracy. The
bass guitar riff alone sells the song but this is no
lone ranger as it's backed up with ear bashing
drums, a to-die-for rock guitar sound and the
killer confident vocals of Jimmi Croutear. As a
three piece unit this band live command the
stage and on record they make no deviation as
they behave like they own shares in rock n' roll.
They will be performing in Wolverhampton on
June 17th at Wolves Fest 2017.
