The Bonham family tree is firmly rooted in musical tradition. First was John Bonham, the
esteemed drummer for Led Zeppelin, who was followed by his son Jason, a skilled drummer
in his own right, who performed with Zeppelin at their much hailed O2 show, for which the
double Grammy nominated DVD 'Celebration Day' is now on release. The tradition continues
forward with Deborah Bonham and her mix of blues, soul, country & rock
To coincide with the worldwide release of the “Spirit’ album on March 11th and following her
deal with US label Spectra Records and a busy Summer of 2013 which saw Deborah opening
for Bad Company in Illinois on their 40th Anniversary Tour, she and her band set out on their
UK ‘Spirit’ Tour, commencing at Giants of Rock Festival over the weekend of 7th – 10th
February 2014 alongside Blue Oyster Cult, Uriah Heep and Molly Hatchet, and calling at
Moochers, Stourbridge on Friday 25th March for what is an almost “home” town gig.
The first single from the album, 'Take Me Down' has received great reviews both in the UK
and US, with the track spending eight weeks at Number One on the Reverbnation Rock Chart
and was described by MFR Radio as “Pretty much the perfect rock single”. And, although
exclusively only available as a Limited Edition, Digi-Pack Pre Release cd on tour, ‘Spirit’ shot
into Radio Caroline Album Chart!
Sarah Evans Director at Moochers stated “since taking over the
Moochers venue in November last year our team have been
working hard to bring the very best in original artists of all
genres to Stourbridge.” She continues “the Bonham family
name is legendary in the music industry and Deborah is anoth-
er great example of the musical heritage and talent from
Stourbridge and the surrounding areas”.
