Verdict:
Highly recommend getting this album if you love bands
like ALTER BRIDGE or COLD and maybe some of the more recent
GODSMACK material. Some great vocal performances by Louis Hale on this record and I
love the intricate technical guitar work throughout it. Personally I think there are better
songs on the album than the two tracks they've already made public via single and free
download which are 'Siege Mentality' and 'Influence And Persuasion' but hey everyone
has favourites right and maybe they just want people to buy the album? Well it's a good
plan because it's a confident sounding release and I'd say it's their best work to date. Buy
two copies

Verdict:
I actually ripped the envelope faster than normal to force
it into the CD player. Awesome production on this EP and you can
hear the trademark craftsmanship of Birmingham's ALEX COOPER of
Arkham Studios at play. Just a few tracks short of an albumbut a genuine piece of delight-
ful rock n roll terror. Opener 'Brand New Start' just instantly grabs you, kind of SKID ROW
in texture with the power of SOIL, it's got real muscle and it doesn't bore you. I'm so
impressed with SILENT JACK and I'm Sure you will be too

Verdict:
I really dread charity singles; I hate them. So when
singer songwriter SI ASTBURY contacted me on Facebook and asked me if I would
review his charity single called 'Hope' I had a mental picture of BOB GELDOFF being
hung by the testicles followed by PRINCESS LEIA's home planet being destroyed.
Reluctantly I listened and you know what? I thought it was pretty damn good. In fact I
think SI ASTBURY is a good songwriter and this tune is a perfect example, I did a little
research on him and he's got quite a history of working in the Entertainment world,
musically he's a little welded to the past with his 80's style (definitely lose the BOY
GEORGE hat I saw on that profile photo) but this is a guy with a really strong soulful
passionate singing voice and someone willing to experiment. Very late 70's to 80's pop
sounding but so suited to it, in his back catalogue he does a few cracking covers too. Buy
his 'Hope' single (it's for charity). If he does away with the 80's fashion (lose the hat)
and carries on writing the way he does with other musicians then live I imagine he'd
make a bluesy version of CULTURE CLUB; which I think would be quite cool
